The O1 Steel takes the shape of the O1 and builds it in double-walled stainless steel. The air gap between the two walls is as thick as the wall of the Tritan O1, so the coffee bed holds its temperature and the outside stays comfortable to hold while you pour. The Obsidian finish has a glossy ceramic coating inside and a matte black coating outside. It weighs 130 g.
It is sized for 10 to 18 g of coffee and 160 to 300 ml, and takes both wave and flat 155 papers. Flat papers such as the Orea Flat 155 need a tool like Orea's Negotiator, which is not included. A dishwasher wears down the coating, so wash it by hand. Brewing guides and stickers come in the box. Made in China from South Korean steel.
